Cheep Trill is a joyful, welcoming, high-quality community choir with groups across South East Queensland - in Northside Brisbane, Southside Brisbane, Moreton Bay, Noosa, and Gold Coast.

Founded in 2014 by Emma Dean, the Cheep Trill team have dedicated the last 12+ years to building a welcoming space where adults of all ages can connect, sing, laugh, and create something extraordinary together.

No auditions. No experience required. Just a willingness to have a go.

A little bit more about our choir... Cheep Trill is a SATB choir (Soprano, Alto, Tenor, Bass). We learn from notated music scores specifically arranged for our choir and created by two of our conductors who have also arranged choir music for singers like John Farnham, Kate Ceberano, Katie Noonan and Glenn Shorrock (Little River Band).

“BUT I DON’T READ MUSIC!” we hear you ask. No worries – most of our choir members don’t either! You absolutely don't need to be able to read music to join us because we offer professionally recorded guide tracks for you to listen and sing along to if you prefer learning by ear.  Our choirs are expertly led and accompanied by local facilitators who are full of positivity, encouragement and guidance.

And although Cheep Trill is many things, one thing we’re not is a ‘sing along’ choir.  So if this is your bag – no worries – but that’s not us. Our arrangements can sometimes be a little theatrical, a little kooky, and not the type of songs a ‘typical choir’ might sing. People often find us because they are looking for something a little bit different.

Our choirs perform popular music, original vocal arrangements, and unforgettable mashups (1960s - present day) written especially for Cheep Trill!

We've performed everywhere from QPAC and Brisbane Festival to the Cork International Choral Festival in Ireland, where we received the PEACE Award as the choir that most embodied the spirit of the festival.  We’ve shared the stage with Darren Middleton (Powderfinger), Clare Bowditch, stepped into the studio with The Butterfly Effect, and even sang with THE VOICE - John Farnham!

But the real magic isn't on the stage - it's in the community. Through Cheep Trill, friendships have flourished, bands have formed, people have fallen in love, and countless choristers have discovered confidence they never knew they had.
